Well . . . normally, I like to review the entire weekend but not tonight. We just finished our 1st Preview Service at SAC. It was a GREAT preview service and I'm pumped. I'm also tired and can't start watching the Cowboy/Giant's game that I've DVR'd until I finish this entry so I'll be brief. :)
We had one family come tonight that said they hadn't been in church for more than 5 years. They were "giving church another chance." The best part is they said they're coming back! I love that. I pray that we connect with people like this throughout our city.
Tonight, we simply wanted to invite some friends with whom we could share our vision (creating a church that unchurched people love to attend) and possibly grow our launch team. Though there's nothing wrong with marketing, to this point we have chosen not to market other than "invest and invite".
Yet tonight we had 101 people show up! Wow! A lot of young families came as evidenced by the 18 children (nursery - preschool age). We were ready and we're gearing up for even more next time when we launch Waumba Land!
The # I'm most excited about is 5! We had 5 unchurched families come tonight. Each of them indicated that they would like to come back to our 2nd Preview Service, Oct. 18th. They are why we are starting SAC.
Thank you God for letting me be part of this and help me to never lose sight of those in our city who are not in relationship with You!
We are sooooo excited for you guys! Keep the faith, and we will continue to pray for you here in Ga. 100 people? Really? Wow! What a great launch!

Thanks Melodie! We are excited, busy, and loving it. We're holding off our "official" launch until early next year. We simply want to offer preview services to allow people to join our launch team and allow us to get better prepared for our launch. This past Sunday night we simply offered childcare. In October, we will begin offering Waumba Land and then in November - UpStreet. So we're wanting to grow into these ministries. Thanks again for your support!
