I have four GREAT kids! I have a WONDERFUL wife who is an unusually gifted Mom! I love to come home to my family and know that I'm HOME. I am so blessed.

It all began when I married my amazing wife Ginger 13 years ago today. I love you Ginger!

Weekend Review

Church was angelic today! 

The choir sounded AWESOME on Thou, Oh Lord.  Wow!  I LOVE that song.  The choir loft was stinkin' FULL.  Incredible job choir!

In the 8:30am service I referred to our church as "Baptist Temple".  Oops!  I knew I would be the FIRST to refer to our former name from the stage!  :-)

Today was Pastor Appreciation Day!  I think Pastor Webber was properly honored today.  Today as a church we presented him with a video message from several of our LIFEgroups and ministries, a large framed "Wrigley Field" Photo, and a "bed & breakfast" vacation for he and Wendi.  We at LIFEPOINT are blessed!  I shared my appreciation for my pastor here. 

Pastor Webber spoke on angels today - answering some FAQ's regarding angels (do we really have guardian angels?, what do angels really do?, do we ever "entertain" angels?, etc.).  Interesting stuff!

Today was another GREAT day.  The 2nd service just keeps getting fuller and fuller.  We had people baptized and saw others join the church.  Great day!

Ginger and the girls are at Tinseltown watching Highschool Musical 3.  Fortunately, I got stay here at home and watch Lincoln and Madison! :-)

On Saturday, the Longhorns continued to roll over OSU in a nail-biter!  Next week's game is HUGE against TTU in Lubbock.  Hook 'em Horns!

This afternoon, the Cowboys squeaked by in a win over Tampa Bay in an ugly defensive game (13-9).  BTW, I'm not sure Brad Johnson's passes could break a pane of glass!  We'll take a win though.  Next week - first place NY Giants.  Next week - LIFEtogether . . . thank goodness for DVR!

We'll Madison just woke up crying.  Time to feed her some strained orange stuff out of a jar provided by the good folks at Beech Nut.

Weekend Review

- What a day at church! 

- We experienced some intense worship today.  I love it when there are that many people in one room focusing their hearts and minds on Christ!  Good stuff!

- We introduced a new band member in the 2nd service: Jeffrey Waller.  He did a great job!  I'm excited about involving Jeffrey's talent and his heart.  More to come on him later in the week. 

- Pastor Webber focused on SATAN today.  That's right - Satan!  Hey, 1 Pet. 5:18 says we have a responsibility to be aware of him.  So today we were given a biography of our adversary.  We were taught that Satan is not sitting in Hell.  In fact, he's not in hell at all.  Instead, he is here on earth actively trying to distract and destroy us.  All the more reason for us to passionately pursue Christ because "greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world" (1 Jn. 4:4b). 

- It's a great day that began with baptism, witnessing salvations, and seeing people joining the church in both services!  Thank you God for a great day!

- Next week is going to be special!  Next Sunday we are going to celebrate Pastor Appreciation Day.  Lifepointers you will not want to miss next Sunday.  Lots of fun stuff planned!  Remember, to send your personal card of appreciation to the church or to the Webber's home address later this week. 

- Saturday was good as the Longhorns defeated Missouri soundly!  The next 3 weeks are full of tough games.  As of today, they are ranked #1 by the BCS!!!!! (Although, that has been bad luck for other teams the last couple of years.)  Hook 'em Horns!

- The Cowboys looked as bad as a team could look today.  Brad Johnson . . . well . . . bad.  Roy Williams (safety) out for the year.  Special teams . . . real bad.  Lone bright spot: D. Ware.  This season is completely up in the air right now.  Romo needs a pinky transplant!

- Enjoyed an afternoon walk and listened to James MacDonaldand Wayne Cordiero podcast today on the iPod.  Good and challenging stuff!

-Tonight me and the kids played Tic Tac Tony and did some serious wrestling!  Good way to finish a GREAT day!

Weekend Review

- Our church was smokin' hot on Sunday!  The air conditioning went down between services.  Thank God for the cool weather.  We actually propped open all the doors to create a breeze - that's a first!  Can it really be called a contemporary service with no a/c? :-)  BTW, the service was hot too! :-)

- Aaron B. did a great job on Word of God Speak. 

- Sherie and the Choir sounded strong on Nothing Compares to His Glory.  I love it when the choir loft is full and we sing with confidence for His glory!

- Pastor Webber taught that we can be filled with the Holy Spirit if we will just let go.  Releasing control of our lives to the Holy Spirit is a great discovery.  Did our pastor actually wear Michael Jackson's other white glove while preaching? (I know that dates me!)

- The Longhorns shocked the NCAA with a close win over OU.  UT = 45 - OU = 35.  Now it's on to play Missouri this week. Hook 'em Horns!

- The Cowboys snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in OT!  I'm a little worried about the lack of effort from this team.  Don't get out hustled!!!  Make a tackle!!! Show some effort!!! Block somebody!!! Don't compound the fact that you can't block anybody by holding!!! Fire the special teams coach!!!  (OK - I feel better now.)

- Just returned from a great 4.6 mile walk while listening to Hillsong's latest This is Our God. Good stuff!  This CD includes instant classics such as Stronger and Healer.

- It's time to put the kids to bed with a story.  I think we'll talk about David beating up the giant tonight!  Tonight's principle: NO ONE IS BIGGER OR STRONGER THAN GOD!
